Setting up a new speaker

1. Power on the speaker and wait until its LED blinks slowly.
2. In the app, open Speakers and tap +.
3. Tap Search for your device and pick your speaker from the list.
4. Accept the Android prompt to connect to the speaker temporarily.
5. Choose your home Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
6. Give the speaker a name.

The speaker joins 2.4 GHz networks. If your router publishes 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under the same name, setup normally still works; if it fails repeatedly, temporarily separating the two bands usually resolves it.

The speaker is not found

• Check that the LED is blinking slowly. If it is not, the speaker is not in setup mode.
• Make sure Wi-Fi and location services are switched on. Android needs both to list networks.
• Stay close to the speaker during setup.

The speaker is already on my Wi-Fi

If a speaker is set up but missing from the app — after reinstalling, or on a new phone — open Speakers, tap +, and choose Speaker already on my Wi-Fi?. The app searches your network and lets you add it without setting it up again.

Moving to a new home

A speaker remembers the Wi-Fi network it was set up on, so it needs to be reset before it can join a different one. In the app, open Speakers, press and hold the speaker, and choose Factory reset. The speaker returns to setup mode and can be set up again at the new address.

If the speaker is no longer reachable — for example you have already moved — hold the reset button on the speaker itself instead, then remove it from the app.

Playing music

Choose the speaker in Spotify, AirPlay, or any app that supports them, and it will play. The ArtAboveTech app then shows what is playing and lets you pause, skip and change the volume.

Renaming

Press and hold a speaker in the app and choose Rename. The name is written to the speaker itself, so it also changes in Spotify and AirPlay. The speaker has to be reachable on your network for that to take effect.
